Can anyone tell me the factory horsepower and torque rating for a 351w out of an F150? Also any pro's vs. con's of the motor?

 

Only pro's here. I have had my unit for around 20 yrs. The heads should have hardened valve seats installed. my set didn't so i paid the price. The small block (orig) ford is a potent engine. Although I can't give you figures for the stock unit that your dealing with, I can say, the sky is the limit. The after market sources have been catering to this mill for a long time, as ford had as well. A guess of HP would be around 280 or so. But at any rate the mill sports more displacement than the 302, and doesn't take a bucket load of time and money to mod or restore.

 

On a 84 its more like 180 hp.. Smog motor.. But i think with some better heads it will do alot better . Some others that know the 351 good will be along soon with more info .. Lew

 

My 84 Bronco is rated at 210 hp, its a 351W with 4V
