The first thing that really really needs to be done is to figure out why she's leaking power steering fluid. It's pretty hard on my girl arms to shift AND turn the wheel with no power steering!

Oh dang, I bet you are just getting ripped. I used to have a ranger that didn't have power steering. I cut out the fender wells and put 31" BF Goodrich all-terrains on it. Good way to keep your arms in shape.

I would say for starters to make sure that your tire pressure is all good. That wont fix the leak but it sure makes it easier to turn.

Then, check for any leaks in the lines. Jack up the front end......or drive onto some cardboard in a gravel area since you dont have a jack, and have a friend turn the wheel as you look for the leaks. Not sure if your truck runs off of the same pump for the brakes but mine does. If that is the case have your friend pump the brakes and turn the wheel.

I don't know if mine does. I know I have to stand on my brakes to get the truck to stop but I just thought it was because I have manual brakes and a super heavy truck.

Well if you have manual brakes then you dont have a Power steering/brake pump. Its just a power steering pump. You shouldn't have to stand on the brakes to get it to stop. Even with manual brakes.

That truck is big enough to plow through anything so no worries there.

No worries, I've even got a winch bumper up front. I have no fear of doing any damage to my truck. Everyone else should be concerned though!

Is it actually leaking PS fluid? Even leaking it should still work unless the gear inside is broken. Also it sounds like the brake differential valve is tripped and not making the back brakes work. There is a block on the frame rail that all the lines meet up and equalize, its got a safety so if the front or rear blow out it won't dump all the fluid.

Yeah, although it doesn't really leak PS fluid as much as it pours it out. I can pretty much pour it in, and watch it pour itself right back out. And it does still work, just doesn't turn as nicely as the little hyundai lol, and it never will.
