Does anybody know how much it would cost me to get both differential gears replaced with 4.10 gears, front and rear in a professional shop?

It was be much easier to replace the entire pumpkins if you could find acouple donors from a scrap yard. Reason I say is if you remove and replace the existing ring/pinion gears then there is a setup procedure involving shimming and seeing how the gears mesh then adding or removing the shims to get things just right. I've never personally done it and I guess it isn't impossible for the first timer and if this isn't your only source of transportation then give it a shot. Otherwise pay to have it done. $1k-$2k sounds realistic.
