Im kinda curious how the chevy made it into a large pickup category. Arent those avalanches around the "1/4 ton" truck size?

Yeah there's no way you could get anywhere near half a ton in ours. I towed my trailer when it was barebone and the rear was so low. It def wouldnt be in the 1/2ton range if i were chooseing. It's more Ridgeline, Hummer H2 SUT, Hummer 3T range in my eyes.

Friend of mine just dumped his Toyota. Tried to get him into a Ford, but his Chevy blood overrode common sense.

Anyway, Toyota sucked in his mind. Wouldn't trailer crap.

My friend is the truck sales manager at a Toyota dealership, and whenever I mention my getting an F-150 (once a new job comes along) he tells me that the Toyota is so much better.

But whenever I bring up the problems that they have had, he never has an answer. Not to mention that they are butt ugly.

I told him when I get my 150 and he gets his Tundra, we will do some tests to see which is better. He hasn't said yes to those tests yet.

me and my girlfriend went by a toyota dealer to look at a scion and right as i pulled up 3 of the sales guys walked right up to the truck and ask if it was one of the new 09s. they wanted to see under the hood and looked all around the truck. everyone one of them said they would buy the ford over the tundra.

I love the fords dont get me wrong, but theres nothing wrong with a toyota truck either.

Im a little biased towards ford, but if I wasnt toyota would be a possibility.

And as this study shows, people seem to have good luck with them, lets not forget our beloved fords arent problem free either!

Surely they included other vehicles in this category. If not, it was pretty useless to even rank it.

The old Avalanche used a Suburban frame and suspension. I think the current one does as well, but I'm not 100% certain. So, strictly speaking in terms of "size", it is as big as any other half-ton. I don't know about towing and payload ratings off the top of my head, though.

I would love to know how this system works so that they come to some of their conclusions. I didnt even spot the Midsize sporty car class didnt even have a runner up. How do they Figure this? There are plenty of other cars in that same class. It just dont seem to be a very accurate way to test the quality of a product. What if 5000 who own a toyota fill this in and 50% of them are bad reports and 50% good and Ford owners fill in 2500 and 50% are bad and 50% are good then dont this mean the Toyota will win just because of the amount of people is more who filled this in?

I traded in my '05 Nissan Frontier for my F150. If it wasn't for the fact that I got such a great deal on the F150, I would have kept it and would run that thing into the ground... and then still keep running it. That was a GREAT midsize pickup. How the heck the Honda made it above the Ranger and the Frontier is beyond belief.

I too like the idea that there wasn't a runner up against the Mustang... That's just AWESOME!!!

Toyota's, to me, have always seemed to be over priced. My run-ins with them lead me to believe that they are a well built truck, but just not worth what they are asking.
