OEM Satellite Antenna Removal

I installed an overhead DVD system in my rig (so my daughter will think my truck is as cool as mommy's Expy with the OEM DVD) and I got a digital TV tuner for it. I'd like to put the antenna next to the factory sat antenna on the roof so I can use the same hole, but I can't figure out how to get the antenna off. I dropped the headliner (partially) and unscrewed the bolt on the antenna but it still won't budge. It has some type of retention screw or something on it and I don't want to force it. Anyone ever take theirs off?

I had a diagram of the part and where it goes. It looked to have a bolt/screw plus some sort of c/e-clip (similar to how the garment hooks are mounted). At least that's what it looked like. I'll have to go digging through my documents to find that blow-up again- maybe someone can confirm before I can find it.

(I wanted to add a "factory" sirius ant. to another F-150)

Got it. After I removed the bolt I put a screwdriver in the hole, gave it a whack and the funky retaining bolt fell off allowing me to remove the antenna.

BTW, in case anyone wants to know, over-the-air digital TV does not work very well in a car while moving. The second you get over 5 or 10mph it starts to pixelate real bad.

Glad you figured it out!...

On a side note:
Give Kenwood about another year or so. They are to be re-releasing a mobile digital a/v tuner. Another manufacturer, Exonic makes a "generic" mobile DTV tuner (plus some other options).

I hoping Pioneer will come out with a solution. They've got a bunch of Nav/mobile media systems with IP-bus controlled TV tuner options that are now useless. I picked up this one in mean time and run it off one of the other inputs. I like the fact that it has another A/V input as well.
