OT- need some info on Baltamore MD and surrounding area

Hi all, just got a call today and I will be leaving Georgia before the end of the month. I will be relocating to Baltamore MD for the next 6 months. what I need is info on some places to set up my 5th wheel. Any help is greatly appreciated. some of these places a stupid expensive. I don't need swimming pools and kids play pens. I don't care about WiFi. and I don't want to pay $50 a night. Just room for me, the wife and two old dogs.
thanks
Barney

Same offer here. I'm in Baltimore county as well, but I'm SW of the city where Jason lives NNE of the city (IIRC). Baltimore is expensive, period. The question is, how close do you need to be to the city, and what part?

Hey finally located a park that will take me, wife and 2 dogs. Yeh, its expensive but its the closest i could find to Baltimore. Cherry Hill RV in College Park. As far as where in Baltimore, not sure. I've got a contract to survey 200 miles of Natural Gas main line and 52,000 services. Sounds like I'll be busy for a while. I hope when we get there apprx. July 3rd we'll have a chance to get together with the locals. Thanks everyone for your help.

If the gas line will be going on the north east side of Baltimore into PA, Cherry Hill would be quite a ways away. There is a campground in Harford county that would put you in the path of the gas line. It's called Bar Harbor RV Park. Its quiet, on the water, and has many full time RVers from the Aberdeen Proving Grounds. There number is (410) 679-0880. Good luck. Brian

Thanks equine, but Bar Harbor won't take my Airedale Terrier. some parks have breed and size restrictions on dogs and the fact that I have a 70 lb Lab and 85 lb Airedale limits us at times. I don't know exactly where the pipeline goes but I have a feeling this survey is going to be metropolitan. Cheryl spent the better part of today calling and reseaching parks and this will get us started. Thanks for everyones help.

I work in Howard County, which borders Baltimore County. The only place I know of is Patapsco State Park. Not sure how long they allow you stay at one time, but its a pretty nice campground. Locked at night, (you get a code to open the gate) and Its pretty close to Baltimore, and should be an easy ride to get to Harford. I can ask around when I get back to work on Sat. A bunch of the guys I work with camp pretty regularly.

Wow, Barney they are expensive!
Do they offer a monthly or semi-annual rate?

Yeh. its stupid expensive. but that seems to be going rate around there. they offer a better weekly rate. Luckly the company pays for it or at least most of it. It will be kinda cool to be around DC. I'll probably spend a month in the Smithsonian.

State parks only allow for a 14 day stay. so that stops that.
