Introduction and a question
I've already benefited from the forum archives, fixing a soft brake pedal by adjusting the rear drums. Thank you!
I'm a longtime Ford guy (also own a '53 F100) but got disenchanted with the dealer network awhile back and started buying well-used BMWs and Mercedes for grocery-getters. I tried buying a Contour SVT back in 1997 and the local "authorized SVT" dealer acted like I was trying to make off with the family jewels. Instead I found a 1987 BMW 325i ragtop in a grocery store parking lot for $9k. I still own it, although I've retired it from my 90-mile commute to work.
Anyway, back on topic. The local C-list has a set of running boards posted for a 2000 F250. Wife is complaining that the cab on the '91 sits awfully high. I'd like to install a step, and the ad is a pretty good deal. Do you guys think it would be doable to adapt the 2K boards to fit my '91?
To quote my favorite rocker, John Langford of the Mekons, "Bless ya, boys."
As far as running boards go,just pick up some aftermarket ones from a store like AutoZone as before mentioned.I used to have a set of undercab running boards that woulda fit your truck, but I got tired of running into them in the shop, and I knew I would never use them,so I scrapped them.If I had kept them I woulda sold them to ya for cheap. But anyways, buying a brand new set that actually fit your truck is always better than having to fab up something to make the wrong ones fit.Good luck, and enjoy the Forums!
