D Tainers keep poping out
I have a ZF5 547 Tranny (just rebuilt )2 weeks ago 2 of the 3 D Tainers (not sure if they are called that ) but the look like a 3/8" freezout plug that goes in the top of the tranny and hold down a spring,this is what Keeps it in gear.The guy replaced the 2 and even siliconed the top of them once they were installed.
Tonight the one in the middle poped out letting the spring tension off and it's acting up in 3rd.
The one that came out controls 3rd and 4th
I'm thinking this time around about using Loctite but the guy says this is very rare.
Anyone else have this happen and what did you do
