'78 F-150 part# needed.

I have a 1978 F-150, 2WD. The drivers side front coil spring tower rusted off the frame. I went to Bull Valley Ford here in Woodstock and the parts guy told me he could only go back to 1980. Would any of you happen to know the part number for that bracket? This is the only thing keeping my truck from the road. Thanks for the help!

Ok, I've checked out several sites and that part is now obsolete. Nobody has it. Is anyone out there parting out a 2wd '75 to '79 F-150? Would you be willing to cut that part out? Close to N/E Illinois would be great. Thanks!

How soon?

I'm not in a big hurry but I'd like to get the truck back on the road. When do you think you'll be doing the swap? Thanks...

Just had the same thing happen to my 1979 F100 2wd - right front spring tower rusted right off the frame! Not having any luck finding one - everything up here in Maryland is rusted as bad as mine. I did find one on Mikes Truck Salvage website, but can't seem to reach anyone at their phone numbers to confirm. Anyplace else I can look?
Thanks for your help!

Guys I live in KS and have never seen a rusty 78-79 frame. I should have those towers for ya...I take 2wd cabs and clips and set them on 4x4 frames , hence I have 2wd frames all the time. The Iron buyer was just here and took a bunch of frames but Im sure I still have a couple around. You are needing the tower , not the round base plate is that what I understand?? I would rather see us ford guys have them than the iron dealer. Not sure what it would cost to ship. if your interested send me an email at
radar457@havilandtelco.com... Just relized these are some old posts... maybe you dont need them any more

A huge THANK YOU to Radar457 for getting these spring towers for me. Awesome guy and I'm grateful for his willingness to help me get the F100 back on the road.
Here's the rusted-broken spring tower

Big bang as I drove into the driveway ... here's why

This thing had to be ready to go for a long time. I was lucky that it didn't break on the highway.
Here's the parts that Radar457 picked for me (Thanks again!)

Can't wait to get under the F100 and grind off those rivets!
