Travel trailer + 4wheeler ?'s

Hey all,
I've got an '05 F350 crew cab, short bed that pulls my 25ft travel trailer. We do a lot of dry camping up in the mountains. I've been entertaining the idea of getting a 4 wheeler to bring with us on camping trips and hunting trips. Specifically, I've been looking at the Polaris Sportsman 500's. A couple of questions:
1. Does anyone on here pull a travel trailer with a 4 wheeler in the bed?
2. Would anyone on here know if a 500-600cc 4wheeler will fit in a short bed truck with the tailgate closed?

for number 2 i would go online and look up the dimentions of the 4wheeler you want, i did that for a YFZ450 tha i was renting for the day and wanted to know how big it is. i know those were close to about 6 feet so there is a good chance that it will fit.

as for number 1 i have seen a good amount of people on the road with that set up, and this past weekend a friend pulled a TT with 2 dirt bikes in the bad of this 350 crew V10, his TT was about 28 Feet.

I put my Grizzly 700 in the bed and tow my TT. Fits fine... looking at dimensions doesn't necessarily tell you all the info... mine is longer than the bed, but the tailgate closes because the bumper of the grizz is higher than the tailgate of the F350.

Good info, thanks! Yeah, I've been able to find the overall length from the manufacturer websites, but like Ben mentioned, that does not take into consideration the clearance of the bumbers over the tailgate. Sounds like it should work, but I guess I'll have to try before I buy.

I didnt have a 4x4 quad but I used to pull a 24' trailer and put a 660 raptor and a dirt bike in my short bed dodge. I had to put the rear wheel of the bike on top of the tailgate to get it to fit. I had a problem with tailgate clearence so I made a little ramp for my quad to sit on to raise it up high enough to clear the tailgate. They also sell racks that put the quad at the top of the bed and fit sideways and will hold 2 big quads.

I know that a Kawasaki KFX700 fits fine, I have a toolbox in the bed so I just have to lift the front tires up onto it.

I like what you did there with putting the wheels of the 4wheeler on the toolbox. You have just given me an avenue to do the same. Don't see many thanks here, but Thanks!

I hauled two atvs in my bed a few years back. One a yfz 450, made ramps to go from bed side to bed side, the other a honda 450r rode backed in with tailgate down with my 30ft. tt behind the truck. this was on a 9 hour trip to london, ky. I had no problems what so ever, except for gas mileage really suffered.
