head unit

I have a 1993 F150 and I am trying to take out the stock head unit. There is clips on the stock head unit holding it in and you have to push them in in-order to take the head unit out. I can't get to the two pins on the left side and I have litterally tried everything in order to get them out. I have tryed forcing them, didnt work. I have tried reaching there, didnt work. Is there any way to get to them with out having to take your hole dash apart?

If your 93 is like my 95 you will need a radio remove tool ..Two u shaped bars that go in the front on each side .. Lew

If you don't plan on re-using the headunit any other time, you could use a coat hanger bent into a U-shape (though I don't recommend it). Wally world plus a few of the big box auto stores usually stock the removal keys for about 5bux.

thank you guys. me and my friend just tore the face plate off and then took flat head screwdrivers and took it out. his dad works at ford and can get me some stock head units for free so if i would ever re-sell it there ya go. thanks again though guys.
