Possible timing chain
I have a issue i think with timing low on power, missing at idle and its not popping codes nothing only thing i see is when doing a live dia when drive you get off gas adv timing goes up and the finally drops to about 15.0 and when idle it jumps around say 15. 16.5 15.5 16.0 12.0. Put timing light on it even thought no timing marks you can see ring on crank jumping around not consisent. Now new plugs wires fuel filter ran fuel system cleaner no vacuum leaks replaced DPFE nothing so believe its mechanial. Its a 2000 3.0 5 sp with 150000 my question is is the chain worn out and more important is the 3.0 a interferance motor or not dont want to bend valves I know the 2.3 wasnt
