Talking i call it an oem custom!!

ok so little background 64 f100 2wd trans, 4x4 solid front axle, manual steering, 302 ci, t18 trans.

if youve messed with the slicks at all you know already this is not the way it should be, but i still love it. didn't like the steering, had to have power. sooooo

took a ride to a local junkyard found a ps gear box in a 99 expidition, woo hoo, now it has to link up to something, hello ebay steering intermidiate shaft off a 77 bronco, now that wont mate to the manual gear box i am tossing? hum what to do, o hey there ebay saves the day again, complete steering colum from a 73 f150, now what do i want to hold on to hum, this old 17 inch broken down wheel is to big and totally unnessicary, o grant steering wheels makes a kit for the 70 ford trucks huh cool ill take a 15 inch 3 spoke, thank you very much!!!!!! now how does it all work together, ut o, lets see cut that out, (engine mount, it was sloppy anyways have to have that redone) and maybe build a bracket to make the frame stronger, lets see what menards has nope fastenal, bolt it cut it but it some more and ta da powersteering from a 99 expidition in a 64 f100, and it looks good too.

spend 3 months in the garage sweating, spend 3 min writing it down.

i hope someone reads this and changes their mind about selling/ giving up a project.

There are two ways to show pics on here. One is to upload them here then use the "FORUM CODES" to post the pic in the thread, or upload them to a place like tinypic.com and then just post the link that has [IMG] at both ends in the thread. Then the pics show up when you post.

Yes it is. I need to work on my steering box because I think it's leaking. I can't tell really because, my pump leaks too and the fan blows all that back onto the frame and the box. I just haven't replaced it yet, I keep adding fluid every so often! LOL

did you try cleaning the whole area, and running it for a few minutes turning the wheel lock to lock and looking for a more specific area? $4 for degreaser and half an hour could do wonders.
