they're for a 6.4 guy probably fried the engine. Those turnos work under the similar idea of that of what Caterpillar is using on they're Acert engines to try and meet emissions standards. Those 6.4 diesels are famous for all kinds of problems.

Fuel economy affects the big three, nothing anybody can do about that except get a tuner and defeat the emissions equipment.

Flames, well I'll give you that one. So thus far there has been only one major problem, anything else?......

fuel economy flames out the exhaust, excessive under the hood temperature well known baking the paint on the hood of your truck, and to change in injectors on these engine you need a hoist you need to seperate the frame from the body and roll it out from under the truck. I've worked on several of these engines they're not very friendly

Yeah I knew what they were from I just thought that was a cheep price I also don,t think the 6.4 is bad I,m sure it has it,s problems just like every other vehicle on the road

My buddy at work has one and has had it for about a year now or close to it he pulls around a john deer 70D excavator with a brush head with no problems with the motor only troubles he has had was with wiring going to his trailer plug .

I will have to tell him to watch the paint on the hood lol

Why would you need to pull the engine to change injectors? Plus, why would you need to pull them in the first place?

Never heard of baking the paint off the hood, i would know by now if it was a problem

They weren't meant for you in mind when they built them, they were built for emissions and efficency.

Any other problems you;d like to claim?

Cowboy Steve,
Lets keep this friendly, he seems to have worked on a few and doesn't care for the 6.4. if you're really curious, how 'bout PM's?

As for those turbos, I know a guy that bought a pair like that from a yard for like $600 or something. I think the 6.4 are just too new and there are so few 6.4's out there and no demand for the stock turbos, take what you can get for them.

Or they are stolen...

Steve didn't you blow both head gaskets just after you got the truck.
I also remember you removed the DPF, and I assume you had to put programs in there to smooth it out after you removed the DPF?

There is a guy near here and all he did was tunes and remove the DPF and claims over 500 HP. I know that thing really runs.
