CARPET WET

Working on a 1993 F150 XLT extended cab 5.0 that has wet carpet along the left side of the tunnel. Also found he coolant overflow bottle empty and radiator down 1 - 2 inches. Radiator and hoses are new within the last six months. Have also noticed at times a very small spot of coolant on the ground. All that to ask this question. Could a leaking heater core cause the left side front carpet to be wet?.

Its possible. IF parked at a angle it could run through the duckwork and come out the floor vent. Take a white paper towel and blot the wet area. See if the towel turns green from antifreeze or not.

Yes it is possible, the heater core on mine leaked mostly on the passenger floor pan.

If you are hearing any gurgling inside the cabin, that is a sign that the heater core is suspect for your leak. Sandy
