Fan CLutch Removal

I am attempting to remove my fan clutch and cant seem to get the nut loose that holds the clutch to the water pump.
It cant be this hard.
What size is the nut? I am currently trying to use channel locks to no avail.
Any Suggestions?
I am attempting to turn it clockwise as you look at the truck from the front.

Mine was never a government truck and it has red locktite on the fan clutch threads.

Run a fan off and have it chew a hole the size of the fan through a radiator and yours will have red locktite on it as well.

Those radiators are not cheap.
Red locktite is very cheap insurance, and a little heat is all it takes to release it.

Also remember, left hand threads on the fan clutch, so clockwise is off.

Mine isn't Govt either, and mine got a dose of red loctite when my fan luckily walked off when trying to start her, thankfully it fell straight down with no damage to the rad.

I just took one off a truck I am parting out. The rad and rad support were already off. I didn't have heat available, so took a hammer and punch, rotating around to a different nut surface each hit. It came off, didn't mess up the nut much. Found ? Blue Loctite ? on the threads
