A little off topic, but I have an 04 explorer limited with the audiophile system (stock amp+sub) Would you happen to know if my wires to the amp are the same as 05 Aviator audio wiring? I am trying to use that harness splice it into a aftermarket amp and sub instead of the stock. Thank you

 

I kind of doubt it. Around 2005 Ford got heavy into CAN (controller area network) integration which runs a lot of the network through the radio. I think it's likely that the 05 aviator will be CAN and the wiring pinout should be different.

I can't find free tech sheets to confirm.
