Y-Block I.D.?
I.D.# is B7AC-292 (Guess its not a 312)
Also, it is a Fred Jones reman unit. The F.J. I.D.# is 432668.
Above the Ford I.D. is 2 Ford 73 (Year of rebuild?)
It does have Mercury valve covers and is painted a lime-green color.
Lastly, below the Ford I.D.# is .60 Bore, .20 Mains and .20 rods.
Thanks in advance for the help and, by the is their a fairly simple formula to figure the displacement with the .60 overbore?
Example; 3.14 X 1.875 X 1.875 X 3.30 X 8= 291.43 or 292 cu in.
Your .060 over 292 would be 301 cu in.
Thanks for the help and realizing that I meant .060, rather than .60. I posted the same thing on another forum and learned quickly that our beloved Y-Blocks weren't quite capable of being over-bored by more than one-half inch!
