Ya I got custom tunes. I got 87 economy adds just a little bit more power. Then I got 91 tow which helps alot when I have towed and saves some gas mileage. The last one I got was 91 performance. I got to take it easy on this one. The truck is real touchy on the throttle when this setting is on. I love this setting but with gas going up its hard to pay for 91 when your unemployed. Everyonce in awhile I will run 89 octane but just lower all the timing settings by a few degrees so it wont hurt anything. What kinda you got?

My old 2006 when stock was a decently powerful truck, and I could easily break 'em free and make some noise from a stop. Wouldn't win a drag race, but not bad at all for a 6,000 lb monster
But then I hear other guys saying their trucks can barely get out of their own way....
IMO, it has something to do with the PCM tuning (obviously)...and it seems the FFV trucks (mine was) seem to do better in the MPG & power department
also, the tranny "learns" your driving style. so it shifts accordingly. so if you drive it slow and reserved, then try to get funny, it won't respond correctly.
You have to "train" it to your style of driving...I apparently drove mine sorta hard. My wife says I am somewhat aggressive

that must be why mine seems to GLH when i got it new i dont think it had one easy day of driving ok well maybe a few but never had any problems with it so y change?? haha...my buddys tell me that they would never buy my truck cuz i guess to them i beat on it to me im driving it like a truck i get pretty decent gas mileage i mean its a truck not a honda or those goofy battery cars i can afford gas so i let my baby drink it up

Ok I gotta ask I have a superchips flashpaq on my 4.6, and it really woke it up I was amazed when I first installed it. Would it be worth my money to sell it and get one of these custom edge's everyone on here is talking about. I think the display would be pretty cool, but how much better could it really perform?

i didnt get the gryphon because i have heard bad things about the display. That they go out quite often. So i opted for the SCT and will be getting the PLX gauge shortly. Do a google search this thing is incredible and it is only about 100 bucks more than the livewire from SCT when you put the X3 and PLX together.

'06 4x4 5.4L lar scab, I've had an evolution for a couple months, and I'm in that group that can't really tell if there's a difference, I'm always in 3, or 2 when towing but I'm rarely over 3000rpms, I am interested it going into "custom options" 3 things: Standard Shifting-increasing, Torque Converter Lock Points-increase (the evo instructions read if you increase Std Shifting you have to increase Torq Con too), Timing Adjustment-increase too, Has anyone done this
