Raining in Mt Vernon, yuk can't work on my ride. I had something nice happen yesterday. The guy who gave me(free) my 1962 f100 called and said he wanted to drop of a manual that he had laying around. I'm thinking Haynes or Chiltons, or maybe a manual for the Olds 330 thats in it. He gets out of the car and hands me a 1961 Ford shop manual, I'm shocked this is a $60.00+ manual and I jumping for joy on the inside. I thanked him, he said the manual was probably worth more than the truck(little does he know). I have had so much fun working on this truck. The engine is giving me fits, but hey it's old and doesn't have electronics and emissions, and I love that. I have the Quadrajet pulled off right now, found the primary jet plugs leaking fuel down into the intake. When I pulled it apart also found the accelerator piston cup had separated from the rod assy. I ordered a rebuild kit the other day and it's arrived just waiting for some additional parts to put it together. I pulled the master cylinder at the same time, wasn't working, kept going to the floor when pedal pressed, attempted to bleed with negative results. I have a fresh reman that will go in when the rain stops, thinking about building and ark just in case. Shouldn't global drying be happening along with that global warming? So whats happening over in the Western and central part of the state. I just looked out side and it's coming down in buckets, I think the ark is a good option, haha.

Gray and damp down here in Medford way. Was able to get a little tinkering done on the truck though. The nice weather last week sure had me spoiled. Spring fever is definitly setting in.

Yard work is the only downside of spring, just when I want to fish, run boats, work on trucks, etc.......The damn grass just wont stop growing........thinking, round-up and gravel.

You will get tired of the gravel , thinking of putting some grass in here but will have to rent a small excavator to do it I'm not digging down and moving that much rock by hand.

I was in Portland over the weekend, got real wet, did not know it rained that much at one time. Got back to Prineville on Sunday, and guess what, it was raining here to.

I'm 1/3 done with my deployment, only 4 more months to go. YAY! Well it's only gettin to about the 80 and 90s over here so far. Not looking forward to the 140s of the summer, but the hotter it gets the closer I am to gettin back stateside. Though being stationed in middle Ga, it's still over 100 in sept with about 90% humidity.
