KMC XD 797 Wheels

these wheels are black with machined..and i'm guessing on the machine part looks like on 2 of the wheels there is some sort of clear coat peeling off whats the best way to take care of this?? just remove all the clear coat?? with what?? and with that be ok with machined aluminum and no clear coat on it?? just need some idea's on how to take care of this..the black part of the wheel is fine its just this machine aluminum part with i believe has clear coat on it is peeling off...

big problem here in Michigan too. I put new wheels on last spring. One wheel is already showing the same problem. I do still have the factory wheels and thought I would swap back to factory for winter but they just don't look as cool. A fix would be great.

I know you don't want to leave them uncoated once they are stripped. Aluminum corrodes very fast. I just don't remember what people have done in the past to strip them. It may not be worth it in the long run cost wise to have someone do it for you. And it will take a LOT of elbow grease to strip and polish them yourself.

I don't have personal experience with them but do know a couple of people who have in the BMW community, they come highly recomended.
