Rebuilt 4R70W tranny, but it is stalling in reverse.
I just had my transmission rebuilt in my '98 Expedition XLT.
It has the 4R70W tranny, with the 4.6 L engine.
Although I only had 45,000 miles on the truck, it was slipping when going into third gear.
My mechanic completely rebuilt the tranny, but he is stumped because it is stalling the moment it is placed into reverse.
The only other thing I have noticed is that it has a slight vibration when it is in the forward drive gear, while I am stopped.
Obviously I don't want the truck back until it is completely fixed, but I am hoping that some of you might be able to help.
