Best way to "BEEF-UP" (strengthen) a 4R44E in order of least expense to most expense? 1st step will be another trans. "service" - how many like a "BG" flush (w\ of course chemical cleaner and additive\conditioner) and how many like to have the pan pulled with COMPLETE (torque converter included) drain and new filter? Had a filter installed, year and a half ago (at 27,510 miles) unfortunately they also put in 7 qts of DEXRON as well! Became obvious there was a problem a couple or three weeks (1,000 - 1,500 miles) later and I had a BG flush job. Everything seems fine now (color reasonable and no burned smell\odor on dipstick whatsoever) but at 62,000 I NEED to do something heavy-duty to better sleep at night!!! All opinions, editorials, sermons, comments, suggestions and\or advice WELCOME! Thank you gentle -people. PS I have a stock trans (and engine) cooler on her - but I fear (have read) that these are limited (wanting)?!?
