Biggest tire size on stock wheels

Look at the approved rim width dimensions on the tire spec sheet and stay within that if you want the tire to work as designed. I run 285/70R17 on my truck and that's right at the outer edge of the specification for a 7.5 inch wheel. When you go outside that rim width spec, you can end up with handling and tire wear issues. I think you are at the upper max of tire width right now for the stock rims, at least for the few tires I looked up. You may be able to go to a taller tire, a 70 or 75 profile, but no wider. Save your pennies for new rims, then upgrade.

remember that when you go with a taller tire, things change
speedo
gear ratio ( as in tall tire makes your 3.73 LS feel like a 3.08)
slower take off speed
less tow ability (as in makes engine & trans work harder)
but everbody is going that route, very few change the gears , cause of the $$$$ involved
I like the "beefy look", a programer would help with speedo & give a little more back.
try to get someone to let you drive their Truck that has tall tires without any mods & you'll see what I mean
Good Luck & choose Wisely

4.56 would be good for a tire size of 33"-35"
