Saddest Pictures I've taken in a while.....
I'm gonna miss her alot.
Traded my truck in today. 2 weeks back I was pre-approved from Ford for up to $53,000 purchase.
So I found me an 08 Expy and ditched my Dodge...happiness ensued, the people were happy.
Then Friday, I get a call saying Ford has turned down my loan...even though they had previously said yes...just pick the vehicle.
So after alot of negotiating, and my credit getting raped by the Dealership (thanks alot *******s), they said just bring the Expy back and get your Dodge back.
Some arguing occured, and it finally came out what really happened.
I was about $3,000 upside down on the Durango. Ford was unwilling to roll this over...even though I was well under the $53,000 ceiling.

So I offered up my F-150 as a trade-in.
KBB said $20,000 in excellent condition for trade-in...and $27,000 for purchase retail.
So I figured anything over $19,000 and I'd go for it.
Dealership gave me $22,000 for the truck on trade-in.
it was a 2006 Supercrew FX4 with Luxury Package (aka Lariat rebadged)
-Roushcharged
-Leveling Kit
-Very Shiny

They knew I had a F-150...but I don't think they realized what I actually had.
As soon as I drove it on the lot, you could see the dollar signs in their eyes. Pretty much slobbering at the bit to sell my truck...which btw, there wasn't a nice used F-150 to be found. Nothing but 09's on their lot, or beat up POS trucks.
And then they found out about the RoushCharger...couldn't get me into the Finance Office quickly enough.

I'm very bummed about the truck being gone...but family stuff comes first. I'm gonna try and pay the Durango off early and work my way into a 07-08 F-150 in about 1.5 yrs...unless I can get a good deal on a 09+ F-150.
Sounds like a stupid thing...but for those with kids, I hope y'all understand if nobody else does. The Durango, and the F-150 just aren't big enough. The Expy is damn near perfect.

edit: here is the link to the classified

btw, the blocks are on eBay as well. I'd rather sell them via FTE. The Auction ends in 3 days at midnight

Wow, tylus, I'm sorry to hear that. I have to admit, driving away from my '07 F150 last week was one of the hardest things I've ever done...
But, look at the bright side of things. Seems that you still have good credit, and your dodge shouldn't see much depreciation in the next year or so...you may have an opportunity in less than a year to get a great deal on an '09....Just think of all the fun you can have with that 6-speed!

I know how that goes... I drove my old 84 Toyota 'daily driver' to the junkyard back in March. It was taking up driveway space and I rarely drove it because I couldn't do anything useful with it like I can with the truck.
It was in perfect operating condition and still outshined most newer cars in the parking lot. I'm the original owner and bought it new during college. Walked away and my wife drove me home. Couldn't bear the thought of going back to the junkyard to see what they did to it. Something about emotional attachment... Sucks big time...
But the bright side is I get to drive my truck everyday now :-)
