Parameters

So as most of you know i ordered some digital gauges for my truck. I need to set parameters for pretty much every vital stat. If yall could help that would be good.

I need.

EGT:

coolant temp:

engine temp:

oil temp:

i need a high and low for battery voltage:

and anything els yall can think of...

heres the list of what the gauge does from my previous thread...

  • A1C-Ford Powerstroke Supported Parameters (PID'S)

  • INTAKE AIR 2- Intake Air Temperature taken at the throttle body inlet

  • COOLANT TEMP 2- Engine Coolant Temperature
  • RPM 2- engine Revolutions Per Minute
  • MANIFOLD kPa- Manifold Air Pressure (kPa)
  • BOOST – Boost Pressure
  • MILES PER HOUR 2- Miles Per Hour
  • TRANS TEMP- Transmission Temperature
  • RUN TIME MINS- engine run time since last engine start. Can be used as a trip timer.
  • BATTERY VOLTAGE- Alternator/battery output voltage
  • PULSE WIDTH- injector pulse width in msec.
  • ENGINE OIL TEMP
  • EX. BACK PRESS – Exhaust back pressure
  • ICP DC – Injector Control Pressure Duty Cycle
  • ICP – Injector Control Pressure
  • INJ. TIMING – Injector Timing Deg BTDC
  • CURRENT GEAR – Current Transmission Gear
    **NEW** User selectable logo. Choose From: Generic, Cobra, Lightning, MACH 1, Marauder, Harley, Mustang, and TBird.
    **NEW** Annunciator feature allows shift lights to be used as warning lights. Set any parameter to trip the lights above or below a preset value. Perfect as a trans temp, coolant, or oil pressure warning.

You should absolutely be aware of when your EGT creeps above 1200 degrees. Others will chime in soon.

Whats the difference between engine temp and coolant temp?

Its all good, I just wasnt sure if it was different or not.

Coolant, Id say about 250 for a warning. A stock stat is 195* but if you do alot of towing it might creep up there on some hills with a heavy load.

I have no idea what the oil temp should even be a normal operating temp.

I wouldn't go any higher on coolant temp than 250 degree's. Water boils at 212, with a 50/50 mix of coolant, it raises that to as much as 265 degrees when under a pressure of 15-20psi, but you really don't want it to go that high.

Normal oil temps are anywhere from 190-210* .. If you have big oil, its probably gonna run 200-ish. Oil temps can get over 250 and that starting to get a tad hot so I'd probably set it there.
