I snapped both u-joints on my 79 F250. I guess it was because the 9 inches of lift put extra strain on the driveshaft because of the steepened angle. Anyway, I heard about the Dana Spicer u-joints being alot stronger than the OEM. Where can i find these and are they expensive?
i would just find a local drivetrain shop, they should be able to get spicer u-joints. also a good parts store should be able to get them. and if i am not mistaking i beleive that spicer is the factory u-joint.
Spicer joints are very strong, make sure you buy the nongreaseable kind they are harder to break.

Spicer ujoints rule...with my lift i was going through joints every couple weeks...now i've had spicers in for almost a year. They really have gone through a beating. I do belive the cheapest place i've found is www.drivetrain.com. this site rules...they are the most helpful guys there.
