swap front leather bottoms on 2003 f250

I am getting some wear on the driver's outside seam on the leather 40-20-40 front seat. Is it possible to swap the left/right seat bottoms easily i.e. without disturbiing anything electrical in the seat? Thanks.

Depends on what you mean by disturbing the electricals. Yeah you'll have to pull a few plugs and plug them back in, but nothing major electrical needs to happen.

If you're going through all the hassle of swapping out the seat bottom, why not just get a replacement? There are plenty out there. Considering your screen name is " Texas Bob" , I'm going assume you're in Texas. Richmond auto upholstery near Houston (in Sugarland to be specific) has awesome products, link to their website below. I've got their replacement seat bottom leather on both my 2010 F250 and my 2005 Excursion. The fit and color match was great in both trucks.

Thanks for your reply. Upon closer inspection of the front seats, I noticed that there is a difference between the front seats so your your referral to Richmond is appropriate and appreciated.

you mean use the passanger side seat bottom on driver side? No …the seats are shaped differently. There is a flat inner side and a more curved outer side. Just go buy a set of replacement ones. I got a set of vinyl replacement off Amazon for both driver and pass seats full set gray bottoms and backs for $160. On my other truck I only needed a bottom driver side…$120 for a leather one. Of course I ordered the wrong color the first time and right color second time. There is a tan and a prairie tan. I needed the prairie tan. Still have the tan bottom it was too late to return it
