I had my motor done by "Motor Machine Co" in National City. It's a 390 but I was very happy with them. It might be worth a call to see if they do Flatheads.

Also, I would call C&G Ford Parts in Escondido. They are in the middle of a restoration and hot rod industrial park and I'm sure they could recommend someone or put you in touch with someone who could.

There number is (760) 740-2400

Their link:

Ford Parts at C&G for 1932 thru 1979 Ford car and Ford truck.

Ask for Kyle!

Thank you Julie. I called C&G and found out there's a C&G Early Ford Repair down the street from them... they share the name, but are two totally separate companies with no relation. Greg is the owner at the shop and he was a pleasure to talk with. Spent at least 10 minutes on the phone with me as I ran through some questions. Needless to say, the F2 will be going to see him this week.

Thanks again
