Had a nice trip out west this weekend. Hadn't been there in several years, Rapid City really has grown. I bet it gets pretty crazy in Rapid and the hills during peak tourist season. We got to see a few snow flakes at Mt Rushmore on Saturday afternoon.

 

Did you notice our Tourist special fuel prices?

 

Yeah, the fuel prices are higher out there. It's confusing too, since you see one price on the sign, then there are at least 2 different prices on the pump for diesel, depending on what pump you pull up to... #1, #2, Super-premium diesel...

The best price I found was $2.23 at the Flying J on the east side of town.

Good evening. Today was the law enforcement memorial in Pierre today. Remember a good friend who lost his life today. He was part of a really excellent family and I am proud to call them "friend."

We about blew off the map yesterday... finally calmed down late last night.

 

much better to last couple days. Very smooth flight from Spearfish through the canyon down to Custer and back to Rapid. 68 degrees at 7500 ft and 85 on the ground.
