Lightning vs. Porche (race talk)
Just had to post this on your guys board. long story short. I was at a light going to a party with my wife. I was driving my second toy, a 99 Mustang GT with many mods. Anyway this Boxter pulls up to me and revs it's engine, well I really wasn't into beating him tonight.(besides the wife,and, well I say no more). OH and what do I see it's a 2001 LIGHTNING so I let it pass. He pulls up next to the Boxter and revs. OH YEA!! They both take off. The Boxter spins a little the Lightning none. About a quarter mile goes by, Lightning TOASTING the Boxter by about 5 cars. It's nice to see our big brother making all of us look good!

0 to 60, 5.9-6.5 seconds (Boxster).
I'm at the next light by then....

It's P O R S C H E, by the way.
I'm shocked!! I sure hope to GOD a supercharged 351 V8 could whup up on a little flat 6. I'm surprised he didn't leave the boxster by more than 5 car lengths! Anyway, the race dosen't start in a Porsche till after 90mph. They are not "dragsters".
It would have really been sad to see the Lightin lose, huh?
Maybe he should go pick on a few 911 Turbos. Naw, he should stick to blowin off Chebby trucks.

If it is not a dragster then why was he drag racing? And it is not a supercharged 351 it is a supercharged 5.4L (330). And for the 911 turbo I have not seen one on the road they are too expensive for the average or even the above average to drive. By the way its a TRUCK. That Porche got outrun by a TRUCK. HAHAHAHA. Just go talk to all thos people driving chevys they can offer consolation. They too know how it feels to get outrun by a 4000# truck. By the way, just so you will know, I was talking to a Lightning owner, before I bought mine, about his truck to see how he liked it, and you will not believe what he told me. He said he went to test drive the Lightning and loved it so much that he traded his Porche (dont know what model) for it. Imagine that someone trading an exotic sports car for a domestic truck because the truck was faster and more fun to drive.

Sorry, there is a big difference between a 5.4 and a 5.7, and supercharged no less, bet he could kick alot of Ford Mustangs around too , and a whole bunch of other cars.
