5R110W tranny pan updates
#46
MoJo, the first indication there was a problem was when the Tow/Haul light was flashing on the dash. I limped it the last few miles home, trailer in tow. I got it home and tried to start it a few hours later and it started fine. Put it in gear and i went nowhere. Had it towed to the dealership and never got a good answer as what was wrong. Only that they wanted to replace the part instead of the entire tranny. Found some information on the tranny issue, worked out a deal and took advantage of this worthless excuse for a Ford dealer and manager. Needless to say, i'm happy with my 6.4 and i will never visit that dealer again.
sorry for the long reply.

08F250SD_Laredo, I'm glad that you ended up with a vehicle you are satisfied with. Shady dealers suck. I'm thankful that I've had more good than bad experiences with the ones I've bought from.
If your posts are apologetically long then mine are inexcusably so . No worries.
X2 on the thanks to Mark Kovalsky for his contributions here and everywhere he posts. Your explanations were invaluable when I was researching into buying used versus new. Thank you.
