Overdrive or Transmission problems??
Let me be the first to say that I am not technical savvy, but I will do my best to describe the issue.
I have a 2000 F250 7.3L with 133k miles. Lately, when I have been driving it has felt like shifted out of gear, then back in. This happens right around the 55mph mark and it jumps out and back in less then a second. The engine does not rev up when it does that either. It feels as if I have lost all power and fuel for that split second.
It has only done this multiple times twice on a drive and I slowed to a stop between hesitations. Other than that, it has not happened more once on a drive and sometimes it isn't there.
