Question 95 Explorer Fan Clutch

Ok, so we all know how to change a fan clutch, right? Right hand threads, loads of fun to do! But my question is after I just replaced the fan clutch, I started the truck and to my surprise I was able to hold the fan and stop it from spinning! Now is that normal or should I be able to hold it a little bit or not at all?

Fan Clutch

Yep, new fan clutch. I talked to the Ford Mechanic and he said that at idle you should be able to hold the clutch, but when you add power you shouldn't be able to hold the clutch, which makes sense. So there is nothing wrong it he says.
