ram air intake

Hi folks.enjoy reading the information very helpful. I have 2001 35ft winnebago on ford f53 frame. The stock air inlet pulled air from the radiator front side.I made 90 degree scoop turned forward. My question is what heavy rain traveling could do to the mass air flow sensor. I cut opening at the 90 degree turn hoping might let some water out.It has v10 37000 mi.weight while towing o7 fusion 22000lbs.It gets 7to 9 mpg.Don,t know if scope makes any difference. I cannot picture what the intake tubing looks like on a F53 chassis. Can you post pictures?

One of the reasons I like oil-soaked filter elements - it can keep the water out

From an engineering standpoint, ram air has negligible benefits at anything under 100 mph. At 150+, noticable benefits!
