It is a neat truck though not What I`d call a ''restoration'', it looks more like a nice original truck to me. That 429 lights my fire. Wonder what he`s asking?
Better not let your rebuilt engine in the 57 sit too long with out starting and running it for a while every few months Ryan, the valve guides like to seize bending push rods. That`s what happened on a 390 I had sitting around, upon start up there was some bad misses and when I pulled off the valve covers there was 4 bent push rods on one side and 3 more on the other side....
I must admit that it ran fairly well as a 4 cylinder FE though!
Somehow I dont think the 429 was stock back then in this 57, not sure Id call it original myself. Maybe a refreshed truck? A guy would have to see it up close I guess to see the kind of job they did restoring it.
