1992 Ford F350 cab and chassis

My truck doesnt seem to have the typical dana axle and i am having a hard time finding any vin or source of identification. I know its not quite a large truck but its up there. Does anyone know what heavier axles offered in the extended frame cab and chassis pickups? The only reason why i want to know is so i can find a proper drum to rotor conversion kit. Thanks in advance

Leave your rear drums alone.

You should have a white plastic certification label on your driver's door jamb. Your vin may also be in the lower corner of the windshield on the driver side. And the title will have it. All the numbers should be the same.

Back to the certification label. It has the axle codes on it as well as other information. The vin does not have axle or transmission etc info.

Moving you to the correct forum for your truck

1992 F350 should have had a Sterling 10.25 axle in it
There should be an identifying tag under one of the rear cover bolts
Like the above post states, the door tag should have axle info for the axle that was originally installed
You can google the tag number or you can check the rear coverplate pattern and tell what you have if the tag is gone

I agree with the above. The E250/350 vans and F-Super Duty came with a Dana rear axle.
