302 upgrade?
Can I use the intake manifold and 4 bbl from an 85 Mustang GT on my simple 1972 302 F100? Used to swap stuff all the time in my youth. Checked and part# differ for intake gaskets, so is there some issues with alignment of water/air flow? Got a great deal on combo if I can use it. Ebay item about to expire!! Any help appreciated.

i think it will i put 87 heads on my 77 302 with a elderbrock intake that i also had on my 65 289. also the 85 302 would be carbed if it was a 5-speed autos where efi.Ford did change the 351w they added more bolts to bolt it on.

As for the 351...it is also a wider manifold, due to the higherblock size and head configuration. Easy way to tell a 351 from 289/302 is how high the thermostat housing sits in conjunction to the water pump assbly. If 
you can reach both bolts easy on them it's probably a 351.
