One last lift question before I buy

Well maybe 2 or 3... I've been looking at buying the 4in Rough Country lift and just wanted to be sure, I will not need longer brake lines correct? Even off road? And is a drop pitman arm really not needed? If this kit is what I need I can order one today

Thank you, Kyle.

i think on 4 in lift you need both pitman arm and longer brake lines for sure on brake lines cause you would be stretching factory lenght to far

At 4 inches the drag link becomes a little short, and will have a negative effect on the turning radius. Steering corrections are a good idea, but if you can live with a steering wheel that is not straight, and a slightly limited turning circle, in one direction (will turn great to the left, not so good to the right) you can get by.
As far as the brake lines, they are contoured to the caliper and can be bent or straightened out. Then they will reach even at full extension. You also have the option of removing the connection through the frame, and re-routing the line. IN this pic, you can see a line routed under the frame. SHould you chose to use this method, be sure that you dont smash the line when the suspension is compressed.

New brake lines are always a good idea considering the age of our trucks, but stock units will work with the small amount of lift.

Thanks 75F350, that's what I needed to hear. I bought the kit and will work on the brakes once I get her on the car hoist next week. I had the same steering issue with my 71' Chev and I was actually able to move the pitman arm and correct it. I think I'll try the same on my Ford.

I'm just preparing for camping season, I can't wait to take her up to my favorite camp sites this summer. Next comes the locker, wheels, tires, stereo, and paint. Im getting excited
