i personally wouldnt use it. Ive used it in gas engines and its worked ok. But sometimes it has made the oil goopy. Im sure someone else will chime in but i would not recommend it.

No.
It's a bandaid at best for a gaping wound on a gas engine with only 150 psi compression.
A diesel is 400 psi at atmospheric pressure.
Now add 20 psi of boost and compress that by 17:1.
.
Perhaps a good product for a dishonest used car salesman, nothing more.

Remember, our engine oil fires our injectors. I wouldn't put anything in it that might harm them. (Read: $$$$$$)

Dan, I didn't see your comment at first. Made my day right there! The old motor honey or sawdust in the crankcase trick.

Adding a couple of quarts of gear oil to you engine oil, will achieve the same results as Engine Restorerbs. Thats pretty much all it is, just like Kwik said, bandaid.

more important question is:

WHY do you need to put stuff in the engine to restore it?

You MUST have more than 1/2 million miles on it.
