hey guys and gals i am new here and thought i would check it out i guess this is my spot. i have a 71 f100 with the 390 i just put an edel brock 750 on there and it does not like it..lol..um it idels good and revs great but when i take off it wants to bogg out unless i punch it .although fun i want to cruise and not have to mount a 55 gallon barrel in the back to get across town...lol any thoughts?
Too much carb for stock 390. The oe carb is about 600cfm I believe.
The Edelbrock 650 cfm carbs work well. Or add some headers, intake and cam and run the 750
thanks i plan on doing the intake and headers but i was gonna wait for the cam til i can bore it out my friend has his at bored to 415 and it is killer..i appreciate the replies
