Spring Bushing Probs

<HR style="COLOR: #d1d1e1; BACKGROUND-COLOR: #d1d1e1" SIZE=1><!-- / icon and title -->First off let me say "Thanks" for all the info I've gotten from reading this post. Ya'll have saved me alot of time and $$ on reps & mods I have done to my '02 F250 PSD. Now on to the problem. I bought this ride in July with 42K miles. Replaced the front springs w/ a Tuff Country 2.5" "leveling" spring kit in Nov along with replacing the sway bushing w/ poly and upgrading to the 1" track bar w/ poly bishings. Worked great (aside from raising the front 1" higher than the rear) for 3 months. Started hearing a "clunk" from the pass side. Spring bushings were rubber! I have just finished replacing with poly, but wanted to know if any of you know why they wore out so fast? Do I have problems I don't know about? Had it aligned the day I installed the spring pack. Only 45K on new springs. Help! Couldn't add pics, so here is an album.

. It just takes a little time and a lot of money. Once you get PMS like I have it, you will not be able to stop yourself.

PMS = Powerstroke Modification Syndrome. Don't fight it, resistance is futile

I greased them liberally with the supplied lube. The directions sent with the kit and the instructions on the web site are for a small spring pack add-on. The springs I put on were the whole spring packs. The lube was for the poly bushings, but I had plenty, so I used it on the spring bushings also. I didn't mention it, but my ride spends alot of time (30-40% of miles) on VERY rough dirt and caliche roads. I thought that might be the problem, but everybody else out here is getting 120K to 150K before having to replace the spring bushings.

I have this same problem with my deaver springs. I havent talked to them yet to see if they can be replaced yet. I had a guy with a skyjacker lift tell me he had the same problem and couldnt find replacements. Hopefully this is fixable which i think it is. It makes a light knock sound when the wheel is slightly turned and then hitting a bump. I wish i could help out but i have the same problem.

How long those rubber bushings last really depend on the terrian you drive on, quality of rubber and basiclly the condition of your suspension, unless of course you have something way out of alignment. Greasing them does help but sometimes they just don`t last because rubber is affected by the enviroment. I have changed lots over the years and usually switch to poly bushings, a little firm firmer ride but last way longer. Roy.

Thanks for the input, guys. It's got poly from ******* to bellybutton now, so maybe it will last a little longer. This site is GREAT! I have a list of mods I want to do now from reading all the cool things you can do to PSD. I think I'm getting PMS. Now just need the time.....

You wouldn't happen to have the part #'s for the poly bushings for the springs would you?
