What are you guys calling Dentsides? And Why are you calling them that? I been around these trucks since they came out in 73 and I never ever heard anyone call them that.

did anyone notice that when they were taking the body off the frame (the ford) that they had the impact gun on the bottom of the cab mount, not the top? now i dont know about you guys, but i did this once and will never do it again... 45 minutes later and i figured out that the top is the bolt that has to come out... the bottom of the mount just bounces around for hours on end...

They might have had a magnetic socket to pull the bolt from the top after the impact gun got the nut off

yeah i noticed they showed the socket bouncing around and at the same time said that the body mounts didnt come off easy... i wonder how long it took them to figure out that they were turning the wrong end? of if the mount just ended up breaking...

They are called dentsides because of the "dent" that runs the length of the truck, while 67-72's are called bumpsides because of the bump that runs the length of the truck.

Um,
__BigBull-

The way I understand it, the first Generation that come to know these trucks, fall into 2 categories:

Ones that do know what the (usally) younger Generation have appreciately called them; out of respect, & adornment.

Or the one's that don't, & with time... eventually do.

But yah, it's like what Holiver31 said.

crazedfox, i'm not sure how to interpret that, I'm not sure if I should be insulted or not.

I've loved these trucks since I was little, but it wasn't until I came to this site, that I found the wealth of knowledge all these guys offer. I learn something everyday.

I try to use the knowledge I pickup on a regular basis to help others.

I'm not trying to start something, just wanted clarification.

No,
__prob'.

I was just pointing out pretty much, that we all learn new
things about these loved trucks @ our own time.

The more we interact thru/with groups,
the more one can learn about themself, & there passions...

I guess you didn't pay much attention, but they've always been called dentsides on this site.

anyways, sounds like a great project. I only watch Powerblock when I go to my grandma's house since they got satelite. and since I got dialup internet it would take probably 24 hours to download one episode.
