Question Is a 97 F150 4.2 internally or externally balanced?

just wondering, Is a 97 F150 4.2 internally or externally balanced? I need to know because I am going to do the 4.2 to 3.8 swap and need to know which year Mustang motor to go with. 99-00 were externally balanced, 01+ were internally.

Mike,
Sorry, but I do not know.
I did a little poking aorund the web and actually never could find the answer.

For some reason I think it is external, but with not near enough certainty for you to bank on it based on what I think.

Wish I could help.
