Zone or procomp lift kit?

Anything more than a 2" level, you'll need an adjustable track bar or track bar drop bracket... AND a drop pitman arm. And longer shocks. And maybe longer brake lines. You shouldn't need a longer front drive shaft though.
A 4" lift will easily clear 35's from all I've heard and read.

Since I've never seen that setup in real life in person, I would have to see the drag link and track bar angles to be sure. They need to be parallel to avoid bump steer.

CT troopers might take out a tape? Not sure whats legal, but they are harsh!
My 2in procomps have settled in to a "strong inch" over stock height (5.4l) after 2 winters...rides awesome still, but could use another bilstien per side like bbender's setup!
with a heavier motor, or looking for the clearance, the 4-6 oversized springs may be well worth considering...

i think it's a grey area. my 4" Pro Comp kit came with the drop pitman arm and track bar drop bracket. need? maybe not. but like you say keeping those angles flat will definitely help with steering geometry.

The worst thing with the 4" lift is the price tag...thats why im wondering if its worth it. although i do agree, if i just put new x codes and keep the leveling kit, itll probably just look "stock"
never had a problem on my old truck running 35s on just a leveling kit, but i think the diesel will make even the new springs sag more and not look quite right

what are they running nowadays? when i did mine it included front springs, rear add-a-leafs and 1" aluminum blocks, all u-bolts, drop pitman arm, drop track bar bracket and hardware, extended front bump stops, and four ES9000 nitrogen shocks, all for just over $700 shipped.

A kit with those exact components is around $950. And then id need to add $50 for drop carrier bearing kit, and i refuse to run stacked blocks, and for 5" blocks i would buy OUO blocks (u bolt actually goes through the block, cant spit it out) for $250.
Pretty much biggest reason im just thinking stay with a nice leveled stance, cheap, easy, and dont have to do anything besides springs and adjustable track bar

chevys are just silly...you need like a 6" lift to clear 35s lol. my buddy had an 2000 chevy 1500 (just traded for an 06 6.0 actually) with 6" lift, 3" body lift and 35s and my old truck was still the same height with a leveling kit and 35s LOL
all that was on there was F350 blocks (f250) and a 2" leveling kit...35x12.5x17 haha
