Here's my rig. I paid 800 bucks for the truck, 200 for the rims and tires, and I just added a Lund Visor last night. She's got some rust but the old 300 six is a great runner. 4x4 works good too. Now I've owned a 1974, 1984, 1995 and a 2005. The 05 was smooth but they sure don't make them like they used to.

Nice looking truck. Great deal if you ask me. These trucks are tough, that's for sure. What kind of transmission and rear end do you have? Hell, I'm even curious which transfer case (NP205 or NP208). Again, nice truck, nice deal.

Real nice solid looking truck, don't look like it's going to be hard to make that thing new again.

Btw could you tell me what size tires you got on there, I'm trying to make mine look like that.

Thanks for all of the nice comments, I'm really enjoying the truck more and more every day with a little tinkering here and there. I bought the truck about a year and a half ago and drove it as I bought it. Then she was parked for about a year. Now I sold my new truck and decided to jump back in old blue.
I put a tach in it today and aligned the front end. It has a four speed manual with granny 1st. I have no idea about the transfer case and rear end. The tires are 33x12.5 on 15" American Racing rims. The big wheels didn't seem to slow her down much so I'm guessing I have a higher ratio rear end. There's a little rubbing on the radius arms when the BFG's are at full lock.
I'm thinking the truck might have been a shop class project or something. When I bought it the gent gave me a sheet with a list of items that were replaced like rod and main bearings, new tank selector switch, dimmer switch, removed the computer and converted it to electronic ignition, not to mention the purple velour on the ceiling.

Thanks Again,
Travis

I'm not sure what was done to the front end. I have the standard coil springs but my shocks also have coil springs. The rear looks to be about the same as the springs on a 3/4 ton.

Nice Truck

Nice looking truck. Here in NC, in most places if a truck is running it is worth at least $1,000.00. And in most cases, that is about all it is doing is running. Alot of ads say "Ran when parked. Well, how long ago was that? They don't tell you they knock or anything else. With the economy the way it is people are trying to sell anything for outrageous amounts of money IMO. So, I think you did great. Enjoy your truck.

fyi: if first is in sync with rest ( dont have to stop to shift into it) you have a T-19 tranny
if it is not in sync ( have to be at complete stop to shift into it ) you have my T-18
either or are great trannys, my t 18 has outlasted a motor and a half!

It could also be an NP435 (mine is). T-case is likely NP208. Diffs should be TTB D44 and 8.8. If your lucky you will have some worn-out limited slip units to rebuild.

1st gear cannot be shifted into unless I'm at a complete stop. Just got done fixing a short to my right rear brake light.

BTW, it doesn't necessarily have to be an 8.8" rear. My 1986 F-150 SWB 5.0 has the 9" rear. And I have the NP435, which has the non-synchronized first gear. Wouldn't trade it for anything.
