Cam timing 5.4

Just traded for 97 f250 previous owner thinks it has a bent value in one cly. I tested compression and got a 0 in one. Went and got got a junk yard head to put on it. Had it surfaced but didn't do whole a valve job. Got a new gasket and head bolts.

1st question is these the right tools for the job?

2nd question
Although I haven't read up on it yet a friend said not only do I need special tools to do the job (see above) but that there is 2 different versions of the 5.4L and the cam timing steps are not the same. So
A. Is there two versions of the 5.4?
B. if yes How to tell which is which to follow right procedure?

3rd question
it looks to me like it will be easier to pull the head from wheel well then from above? Anybody ever tried this route?

A yes, a PI head and Non PI head. your truck has a Non PI head. What year truck did the head you bought come off of? You can also examen the head to see if PI is casted into the side of the head.

I didn't pull the head, Couldn't find one a "pick a part" so had to go more expensive place they pull and your not allowed in the yard. I just told them 97 f250 5.4 and I assume that's what they gave me. Where would the stamp be? I'm picking up head this afternoon from machine shop.

PS I think I posted wrong tool kit in post 1. Pretty sure this is the one I need but not 100%

I didn't pull junk yard head off, junk yard employee did. I really have no way to know what they took it from, this yard doesn't let you in the back.
Which side is stamp on ? appox size of?
