2000 F150 rear brake hose

I was doing some maintenance on my truck, 2000 F150 5.4L 4WD + ABS and that included replacing a rear brake line...

The long line that goes from the T brake hose (that comes from the frame) to the passenger side caliper was in bad shape.

So, I bought a 51" brake line and proceeded to replace the line..

Big problem. After I cut the line off on the hose that goes into the caliper, I discover that there is no fitting!! WTF!?

The Napa guy didn't have any solutions (they only stock the front hoses and the rear middle hose), aside from going to the dealer?

I need a hose that short hose with a fitting on it..

I'd try using a front pass side hose made for the truck. It should bolt to the caliper fine and your new line with the fitting on it. Just have to figure out a mount for it. Maybe zip ties. Otherwise dealer or junkyard only from what I could find.

I tried the passenger side front hose; it is a no go...

I was thinking of using a hose from another vehicle, but I couldn't come up with anything

i ahd that same issue here when i was at school. went to 3 different parts places, but i guess its a dealer only item. i got it from the dealer, to find they gave me a front line. when i returned it, they gave me another front line. i got fed up, and just ran the front line and ziptied it down. it still passed inspection
