Well, I finally picked up a transmission for the F150.
It's a C6 4x4 trans with the big block bell housing. It also has the reinforced casing. I have some scraping and cleaning to do before I can find the cast dates and figure out what year it is. Eventually it will get a complete rebuild with a tiny shift kit for towing, and some off-road use.

Well, I've made some small yet important progress.
First off, I removed the entire front axle. I took it back down to bare metal, primed, and then repainted everything satin black. I finally also picked up the correct 1980-1984 steering knuckles to replace the 1995 knuckles I was running.
While I had the axle out, I decided to add the Handling Package to the truck. This meant that my single shock towers would have to be swapped out for dual shock towers. So I knocked out all the rivets from the towers, and then re-installed the towers with bolts. Eventually I will find new dual shock towers, and will simply unbolt the single shock towers and install the dual shock towers.
I also picked up a New Process 208F transfer case. This now gives me a complete drive-train for the F150 once again.

Thanks!
While I'm here, I have some small updates.
Finally added carpet to the map boxes.
Bought some New Old Stock parts including a clear park light, black slide lock assembly, and the correct 1980-1981 NP208 shift ****.
And finally, I also picked up a set of the 1980 Ford Shop Manuals.
