Around 1969-71 when bullet proof vest started to surface I was watching TV and a reporter was advising the viewer that he was wearing a bullet proof vest and that they were going to test it for the viewing audience.
As he continued to speak, a hand came into view holding a hand gun and shot the reporter in the chest. The reporter immediately let out a scream, yelling S.O.B., Gawd Dam, etc,etc and the camera panned away and they went to commercial.
This scene brought me to my feet, I was laughing like crazy, what in hell were these guys thinking?
I think that it was a day or two later they showed a baseball size bruise on this idiots chest. The vests in the 70's were no where near as advanced as they are now. It really hurt then.
The kid on the video may well be related to this reporter.
